Critical illness cover is also referred to as Serious illness cover depending on which Insurance company is offering it. The theory behind this type of policy is simple, as it pays out a cash lump sum when diagnosed with a specified critical illness. There are a host of specified critical illness’ and they vary with the differing providers, however there are a number of main Core illness’ which should form the minimum requirement in such a policy, and these are:-
